Lymm Rocks – painting smiles on everyone’s faces
Local community group Lymm Rocks created a lovely surprise for Keate House when they delivered a selection of beautiful personalised painted rocks for the staff and residents of the home. The gorgeous collection of hand painted rocks include thoughtful positive messages and images to let residents and staff know they are being thought about in the community.
Lymm Rocks is a local group set up by Helen Nelson which has 2,600 plus members on its community facebook page. The group has initiated a project called the ‘Vera Lymm Project’ where members have painted rocks with inspiring messages for local residents - the aim of the project is to gift rocks to those neighbours who are shielding/isolating on their own and who see no one else from day to day. These rocks are to give them hope and comfort until the day when we will all meet again.
The group has distributed over 270 painted rocks via the help of members and Leave No One Behind Campaign in Lymm (LNOBIL) a joint community partnership with local food banks, refuges and NHS in Warrington. Read more at www.lymmhelp.co.uk
