Flying the flags for VE Day 75 Years Celebration!
Union Jack flags and red, white and blue bunting was in abundance on the 8th May when the wonderful Keate House activities team arranged a VE Day garden celebration within the home.
Residents enjoyed the glorious sunshine and lots of fun which began with a lovely lunch, followed by a quiz and evening BBQ - all accompanied by nostalgic singalongs to the war time classics throughout the day.
Malcolm Clarkson, Owner/Director of Keate House commented:
“ Despite the challenges of the current times our wonderful Activity and Catering teams, supported by our Care staff, planned a very special VE Day garden party which lifted the spirits of all our residents, who had a lovely time paying their respects and tributes on this very special historic day.
On behalf of all our residents and their families I would like to say a huge Thank you to our team here at Keate House for all their hard work in making this such a special and enjoyable day for everyone.
This is just one example of the many days in recent weeks that our amazing Keate House team have work tirelessly to ensure our residents and colleagues stay safe whilst enjoying special moments alongside the regular activities that are such an important part of the daily life in the home.
My special thanks and appreciation go to the entire team and their own families for all the care, dedication and huge team spirit they have shown to our residents, as well as each other, during these unprecedented times.”
