Newly refurbished Keate Arms – Grand opening
Residents enjoying a social drink in the newly refurbished 'Keate Arms'
July saw the grand opening of our newly refurbished pub, the Keate Arms, in the garden area of the house. Everyone was excited to welcome our very own Malcolm Clarkson, owner of the Care Home, to cut the ribbon and serve everyone with a lovely glass of fizz or beer, to celebrate.
The refurbishment of this popular social area offers exterior as well as interior seating around the bar, where darts and dominoes are a popular pass time for residents. Completion of the pub is the final piece in the home’s garden development project which includes a new barbeque and paved seating area, a sensory garden with wide paths and walkways, a traditional red telephone box and beautiful lawns with night-time lighting around the central fountain.
Residents look forward to a time when they can invite their families and friends to visit and share some fun and a drink with them in their very own ‘local’.
