A lovely community Christmas in the home
Residents and staff enjoyed a lovely Christmas at Keate House and were touched by many acts of kindness, and thoughtful contributions from our very caring community.
A highlight of this was the creation of a beautiful Angel themed Christmas display e-card - a Lymm Community project involving Lymm Baptist Church, Helena Edwards, St Mary’s Pre-School and Statham Primary schools. Keate House Residents produced a creative piece which was included in the lovely montage card.
December also saw lots of celebrations which included a festive afternoon of Christmas Carols in the garden from members of the Cheshire Police band; Christingle making followed by a Service conducted by Woolston Church, a winter wonderland garden and lantern walk, as well as our very own traditional Panto ‘Oh No that’s not my reindeer!’ performed in the home by our multi-talented Care staff.
Residents also enjoyed Christmas parties in their bubbles with festive tunes, organized by Carers Sam, Bev and Melissa. It was a delight also to see many residents enjoying their very own virtual Christmas family parties with their loved ones at home.
Other kind contributions included festive cards and letters from the lovely pen pals who are linked to us through the home’s creative writing club. Such a positive lift for many to receive this correspondence.
Staff and Residents would like to express their thanks and gratitude also for the festive treat donations from the Church Green pub as well as the wonderful generous donations of Christmas gift shoe boxes from the children of Woolston Cof E primary School for our ladies and gents in our Treasured Memory Centre.
All at Keate House have been thoroughly touched by the wonderful community spirit and kindness shown - everyone has felt very special and very much loved during a Christmas time like no other.
Thank you to all of you, for your wonderful kindness!
