A Month of Spring time celebrations
March was a hugely busy month at Keate House with many celebrations taking place for everyone to join in with.
The month started off with St. David’s Day and an abundance of daffodils to brighten up everywhere, followed by St Patrick’s Day – both events involved lots of planning and crafting skills as part of the party preparations.
As March symbolises the start of Spring - Mothering Sunday is also an important event in everyone’s calendar and, as always, this year was no exception at Keate House – a special Mother’s Day menu accompanied a day of receiving cards, gifts and flowers from all the family. The home also celebrated some very special birthdays from four residents as well as joining in with all the fun and games of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.
Care Home Manager, Diane Clarkson commented:
“At Keate House we never miss an opportunity to recognise special celebration days and anniversaries - it’s always a great excuse to put on a themed day menu and have a party celebration for everyone to join in with. March has seen plenty of creative crafts, music, dancing and the sharing of letters, cards and much love amongst the residents, staff and all their families and friends. As we move into Spring and prepare for Easter we all look forward to sunnier, longer and brighter days ahead."
