A wonderful month of reading, history and the arts at Keate House
As September celebrated National Arts in Care Homes and World Reading day - Residents we’re delighted to pay a visit to our local library in Lymm and spend time reading the wide collection of wonderful books available.
Arts in Care Homes is a national day of celebration to share and support the arts and Keate House took the opportunity to extend the theme throughout the month with other art events also.
Within the home residents held their very own Roald Dahl day where readings and discussions were shared on everyone’s favourite author’s work and novels.
Later in the month the home also welcomed a visit from Glynis the representative from Lymm Heritage Centre where she gave a fascinating talk on local history and life in Lymm during the Victorian era.
Keate House passionately believe that all elements of the arts play a hugely positive part in the well-being, confidence and engagement of the residents, with links to the community helping to create friendships and joy. The team at the home ensure they provide as many different experiences as possible throughout the year to share everyone's appreciation of the arts!
