January celebrations - Burns Night and Chinese New Year!

Burns4jpg

January is often thought to be a quieter month of the year but at Keate House the celebrations and activity schedule never stops, and January was no exception!
Amongst all the residents and staff birthdays and activities of the month, residents took time out to remember the birthday of Scottish writer Robbie Burns with a special evening of haggis and Scottish traditions.

The focus of the week’s art class was creating beautiful table decorations to provide the creative flair for the celebration supper, setting the scene for an evening of fun, food and dancing where singer Leanne James provided the wonderful musical entertainment.

The month also saw everyone celebrate Chinese New Year with a lovely themed lunch including arts and crafts around the theme of the year of the rabbit, with Chinese dragons and lantern decorations to complete the theme also.
