National Care Home Open Day
On the 20th April Keate House opened its doors to the community as part of Care Home Open Day, a UK wide initiative encouraging care homes to connect communities, change perceptions & highlight the quality care that happens all year round.
Friends, families and neighbours who visited Keate House were welcomed by staff and residents to take a tour of the home and the gardens to get taste of what life is like at Keate House and to see what fantastic facilities and activities are on offer daily.
There was also an opportunity for visitors to become a “Dementia Friend” by taking part in the Information session on Dementia, learn more about the condition and the small ways we can help people suffering from Dementia.
The successful out-reach day was rounded off by a delicious afternoon tea in the garden prepared by staff and residents with music performed by one of the home’s Carers Bob, on his guitar.
