Keate House - shortlisted for prestigious Caring UK Awards 2019
We’re delighted to share the exciting news that Keate House has been shortlisted for the prestigious National ‘Caring UK Awards’ with a nomination in the ‘Community Involvement’ Category.
Keate House has beaten off the competition of 100s of other homes to be one of six finalists shortlisted in this category. The home moves into the next judgement phase where we will showcase our great work and facilities as well as our wonderful residents and staff, when judges visit early October.
Keate House Care Manager, Diane Clarkson Comment:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be shortlisted in the ‘Community Involvement’ Category in the prestigious Caring UK Awards. Working with and having links with the local community we see very much as an essential element to the happiness and well-being of all our residents and staff.
The local schools, nurseries, library, church, charity, volunteers and community groups in around Lymm embrace this also and are always keen to work on joint projects, fund raising events as well as just spending time, entertaining or working with our residents whatever their needs and interests are.
The reciprocal benefits also mean that it is not just our elderly residents who benefit greatly from the involvement, but in many instances it allows the children, young people and volunteers to build bonds, share skills, have a greater understanding of each other as well as highlighting the different needs and requirements of everyone in the community”
The Annual Awards, organised by Script Events in conjunction with the Magazine Care UK, sponsored by Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, recognises excellence and achievement in Care Homes from as far and wide as northern Scotland down to Devon.
Winners will be announced at the glittering Awards Ceremony on Friday 15th November at the Athena In Leicester.
