Artwork project exhibited at Warrington Gateway
Keate House’s joint artwork project with children from St Mary’s Pre-School in Lymm has gone on display as part of the Local Community Art Exhibition at the Gateway Centre in Warrington.
The beautiful piece entitled “Wings of Love” is a bright water- coloured collage featuring love birds. The wings were created by the pre-school children who drew around their hands, these were then combined with the work of the elderly residents’ paintings of the birds’ bodies to create a vibrant and colourful scene.
Artist Helena Edwards runs regular art classes at Keate House and developed the collaborative project with St.Mary’s Pre School. Helena commented:
“It's a great pleasure to be part of this wonderful exhibition of work produced by local artists of all ages, on display now in Warrington's Gateway. Excellent photography, and unique and beautiful wall hangings. Keate House and St Mary's preschool in Lymm provided "Wings of Love" the colourful bird collage which will be the first work you see as you come in.”
The Exhibition is being run by local company Blooming Art and will run at Warrington Gateway until 13th March.
