'Outstanding' CQC Rating for Keate House
Management, Staff and all our Residents are celebrating Keate House achieving the rating of “Outstanding” in the Responsive category in our recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inspection.
The rating was awarded due to the home demonstrating ample evidence that the needs of residents were fully met and that the home was also 'exceptionally responsive' to the needs of its residents. The CQC report highlighted the excellent work being done in the home, including also some wonderful comments and praise from the home’s residents.
The home achieved the ratings of ‘Good’ in the four other Inspection categories of: Safe, Effective, Caring and Well-led.
Diane Clarkson, Care Home Manager commented on her delight of the achievement:
“The praise goes out to all the team here at Keate House for all their hard work and dedication over recent years. To be awarded an ‘Outstanding’ Status in the Responsive Category is a huge achievement and it is the result of all the wonderful, talented, compassionate staff who deliver such commitment and care to all the residents in our home each day”.
Highlights from the CQC report include comments:
“ Keate House was exceptionally responsive … the staff promoted strong links with the community… arrangements for social activities were innovative and met peoples individual needs… Enabling people to live as full of a life as possible."
Residents comments were also very complimentary offering very high praise for the Care that the team provide:
“ Staff are caring, capable, friendly and comforting… I don’t think I could be in a better care home.”
“ …without question I would recommend this home, It’s an amazing place,”
“The leadership here is just what people need, it has a lovely balance and feel to it.”
